PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 RIGHT OR WRONG

It’s not important in this land what is right or wrong;
Moral or corrupt, it’s how we sing the song.
The issues most before us, of drugs and prostitutes,
Porno films, and gambling are really substitutes –

For those who’ve got the power, for those who’ve got the cash,
For those who make the loudest noise, or throw the biggest bash.
If we really want the answer, I’ll give it to you straight –
Legalize the lot of them and make a debt-free state.

Right or wrong, we have to change it;
Right or wrong, won’t stop the use.
Let’s legalize and tax them, and stop all this abuse.

Gone would be inflation; we’d be dressed in black,
To celebrate a balance sheet that stayed upon the track.
The jobless and the homeless would have a place again,
And the economic standard would allow us all to win.

Leave these issues to the church to preach upon the land;
They’ve always been an issue; it’s where they first began.
They fall among the many sins that are preached about;
Yet, most of sin is legal, for that there is no doubt.

Right or wrong, there is no answer;
Right or wrong, there is no say.
Too many get a freebie from the government today.

This country is a business, the biggest one around;
Yes, money is the route, for living on this ground.
We know that what is Ceasar’s should never leave his hand;
Yet, we keep giving it away to satisfy some stand.

Replace the pain and suffering caused by such display,
As prisons do attest, with laws which clear the way
To educate the nation on brotherhood and love;
Don’t bite the hand that feeds your tight-minded glove.

“Right or wrong” is not the issue,
Right or wrong, it’s all the same.
Let’s grow up and stop the pain, let’s put a stop to shame.
